ABOUT US

GAADH [Generation of Aid Associations and Development of Human] is humanitarian, nonprofit, non-governmental, and nonpolitical organization dedicated to empower the marginalized and vulnerable pastoral and agro-pastoral communities in Ethiopia to access basic necessities such as food, shelters, pure water supply, health facilities, quality education, agricultural extension, livestock health extension and husbandry production managements systems etc…

GAADH was established on 15th June in 2018, founded by a group of local community elites who are multi professionals whom desired to provide welfare supports to the most vulnerable pastoral and agro pastoral communities implementing relief programs and developmental sustainable livelihood projects which could reduce poverty improving the lives of thousands of pastoralists and agro-pastoralist communities in Ethiopia. 

It was first time registered on 23rd November in 2020 for undertaking relief and developmental sustainable livelihood projects in Somali regional state of Ethiopia. In accordance to, Ethiopian rules and regulations with the legal code proclamation number 321/96, hereafter, referred “Generation for Aid Association and Development of Human(GAADH)” regarded as a local NGO/CBO.

GAADH has been operational since 2018, working with the poor and marginalized communities by implementing both humanitarian interventions and livelihood projects in urban and rural areas.

 

OUR MISSION

 

➢ To bring on productive and positive changes to the vulnerable and marginalized pastoralists and agro-pastoralists through promoting sustainable livelihood development projects, humanitarian interventions and community based action researches.

➢ Pastoralist and agro-pastoralist communities in Ethiopia have improved and sustainable livelihoods, and involve in active collaboration with other pastoralist and agro-pastoralist communities.

 

OUR OBJECTIVES

 

➢ To respond and implement humanitarian emergencies, rehabilitation and development interventions in the pastoral and agro-pastoral areas of Ethiopia.

➢ To promote innovation and development approaches byconducting action orientated researches and improved technology transfer projects in the pastoral and agro-pastoral communities.

➢ To protect the gender rights against social violence and harassments.

➢ To provide capacity building and women empowerment.

➢ To enhance community awareness through regular social mobilizations.
